This policy explains how brokers and agents work on Hommigo, and what owners, tenants and buyers can expect from them.
01 What this policy covers
This policy explains how brokers and agents operate on Hommigo: onboarding, listing on behalf of owners, commission and negotiation, and the standard of conduct we expect. It applies alongside our Terms & Conditions and Property Listing & Verification Policy.
02 Becoming a broker on Hommigo
Brokers go through KYC verification before they can list properties or represent owners on Hommigo, the same as owners and sellers.
03 Listing on behalf of an owner
You may only list a property on Hommigo if the owner has authorised you to represent them. You are responsible for making sure the details you list, including price and availability, reflect what the owner has actually agreed to.
04 Commission and negotiation
Any commission or fee you charge, and how it is calculated, should be clear to the owner and, where relevant, the tenant or buyer, before they commit to a transaction. Hommigo's price negotiation feature is there so both sides can agree on terms transparently, within the app.
05 Conduct we expect
To keep Hommigo trustworthy for owners, tenants and buyers, brokers agree not to:
- Misrepresent a property, its price, or your authorisation to list it
- List the same property multiple times, or list properties you are not authorised to represent
- Encourage tenants, owners or buyers to complete a transaction outside the app to avoid Hommigo's protections or fees
- Manage more than one owner's interests in a way that unfairly favours one party over another in the same deal
06 If you break this policy
We may remove your listings, suspend your broker account, or restrict your access to features, depending on how serious and repeated the issue is. We will generally try to understand what happened before taking action, except in cases of clear fraud or repeated abuse.
07 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Hommigo changes how brokers work on the platform. We will post the updated policy here with a new "last updated" date.
