How your Hommigo account works, from choosing a role to keeping it secure.
This policy explains how accounts work on Hommigo, whatever role you use it in.
01 What this policy covers
This policy explains how accounts work on Hommigo: who can create one, how roles work, how we verify accounts, and how accounts can be suspended or closed. It applies alongside our Terms & Conditions.
02 Who can create an account
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account on Hommigo. Accounts are personal to you and should not be shared or transferred, and each person should have one account.
03 Choosing your role
When you sign up, you choose the role that matches what you want to do: tenant, owner, broker, buyer, society manager, resident, security guard, hostel/PG manager, furniture seller, or service provider. You can use more than one role where it makes sense, for example a resident who is also an owner.
04 Verifying your account
Some roles, such as owner, broker and seller, go through KYC verification before they can list properties or receive payments. We may also verify your phone number by OTP when you sign up or sign in.
05 Account approval
For roles that manage other people's access, such as society managers, hostel/PG managers and security guards, we or the relevant admin (for example, a society manager adding a guard) may need to approve your account or role before you get full access.
06 Keeping your account secure
Keep your login details and OTPs to yourself. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account. If you suspect unauthorised access, let us know as soon as possible.
07 Suspension or closure
You can close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or close an account that violates our Terms & Conditions or other policies, that we reasonably believe is fraudulent, or as required by law, and will let you know where practical.
08 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Hommigo adds new roles or account features. We will post the updated policy here with a new "last updated" date.
